Drum Roll please, and the winner is..........

Okay Losers,

Here's the scoop, and its pretty good scoop for the month of Jan. I am very proud of everyone and I hope they all keep up the good work.

Susan- 1.1%
George- 2.2%
Jerri- same
Janet- same
Jill- 1%
April- same
Chris- 1%
Todd- 1.2%
Kristy- same enough
Lori- 2.4%

and the winner is.................................as if any of you cannot guess already, and a big wahooo to
him

Jason- 3.5% HOOO RAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a group we lost a total of 29 pounds, did not quite make the challenge that Todd set out, but we all did really well,

we have gone from a grand group total of 2619, to 2542.3. thats 76.7 pounds, pretty good in my book.

I am proud of everyone, lets keep up the good work, its sweetheart month, don't let all the goodies all over the markets sway you, keep up the good recipes, exercising and all the good thoughts.

Good Job Jason!!!! What a guy.

Lets all send Jason a big hug and yes he will get his prize in the mail as well as a late one due to Todd for the poetry contest.

Oh, and I have a really good doozie quiz for you guys in a week. I figured since this month, so many highly intelligent people have been born, that I surely must include a good contest this month. So be prepared, in about a week, and we will have our bi monthly weigh in on Sunday the 15th. So, forget the chocolate, at least a little bit.

Go Losers,
Susan

  1. Congratulations, Jason!!!!!!!!! Way to go!

I'm glad everyone is doing so well! Also glad I lost a little bit.

However, sorry to admit it, but I positively won't leave the chocolate alone if I would happen to get any. I like dark chocolate if anyone wants to know. :)

  2. Good job everyone :)
Now that we've had a month or so to adjust to the smaller portions on our plates, it is time to begin building the exercise habit (I know that a few of you alreayd have that in place - but some of us don't). I would like to challenge everyone to walk 10,000 steps a day. I looked it up and 10,000 steps a day is considered to be "active", which is what I am shooting for personally. I'm not trying to become a body builder or a competitive athlete, I just want to be an active person. So...I'll set up a post on my blog and anyone who is interested, can log their daily steps.

Sorry, no prizes for this one (except a healthier heart and a smaller butt!)

On a personal note - GOOD JOB HONEY!! I am so proud of you :)

  3. Jason, way to go, that is so totally awesome. What is the secret to your success?
The pedometer is a super way to track steps, if I may offer some advice about them...don't buy the ones under $10. I have now used 2 of them that have broken forever. I think the decent ones are between 20-30 bucks and can tell you all kinds of stuff.

  4. Lori, if you lose your place counting steps, do you have to start all over?

And do you have to count backward if you walk backward?

And if someone walks with you, can you count twice as many steps?

Do baby steps count as much as giant steps?

  5. Jilly,
so many questions, its a wonder you ever got through school, or did you, did you enjoy it, did you read your books, where did you go, did you really attend class, did you get in your car, did you eat the breakfast before school, did you really look for a hooded owl, wood pecker, whatever, did you , anyway, count however you would like to count, we are not the counting monitors. and ask as many questions as you would like too. I have taken my meds tonight so I can deal with things so much better.
anyway, walk whichever way you want to walk everyone, just get up and move it , move it.
    good luck everyone.
    go losers,
    susan

  6. Hey, not everyone goes to Kindergarten for three years. You had an unfair advantage. I didn't get to go at all. By the time I got to go to school, they had already done the section on counting. When I showed up, they were already on nano technology and algebraic equations.
