Okay Losers.

I have an easy game for the first month. But, you have to read my blog to play the game. And I will always post my games at around mid day so all you west coasters can get up and going abit first.

The first person to correctly answer these questions or as close to them as I think they should be, and yes, I get to determine the winner, so what,
anyway, the first person to answer the questions correctly will win a prize. So, get to reading and get back to me within a short time. lets say, within the next 12 hours.

1. How many grapes can you eat for the same number of calories as a single donut hole?

2. How many apples can you eat for the same amount of calories as one cup of chocolate ice cream?

3. How many cups of carrots equals 1 snickers bar?

4. How long would it take a 150 lb. person to hike to burn the calories in 1 brownie?

Okay, answer quickly, only 1 time per person. I will check the blog as soon as possible.

  1. My answers accordning to the calories counter and other web sites I use:
    1 donut=125 cal. 1 grape=2 calories. So thats 66 grapes =1 donut.

Ben and Jerr'ys chocolate ice cream
    1/2 cup=260 caloires
    1 applie=65 calories

4 apples=1/2 cup choc. ince cream
    Snickers=271 calories
Carrots= 50 calories in one cup
5.4 cups of carrots = one snickers

    and...

    1 brownie is 243 calories
If a 150 pound person hiked it would take them 25-35 minutes to burn this off. This all depends on the pace of the hike, fat content of the brownie, and how they metabolize (gender, age, normal activity level, and heighth need to be considered).

  5. 66 grapes and 1 raisin, but the donut hole would taste better

    8 cups of cinnamon applesauce

    a slice of carrot cake

It would depend on whether the person stopped at the DQ or not

  6. Now, see, someone (JILL) is not taking this thang serious-like. 10 lashes with a wet whole-wheat noodle. Ick.

  7. Hey, gang-
I have received funds from: me, Jill, April and Chris. Oh, April and Chris paid up the entire year - now, that's dedication! So, the kitty is up to $144 so far. Let me know what day you weighed in, so you don't get cheated on number of weeks.

  8. Whoa. $144 might make me get a little more serious. Well, only maybe. I really, really am having a tough time getting started on this. I know how I look, I know I need to lose weight, but I know how I HATE to diet. I have done it so many times, I just don't want to do it again. I need a serious a** whoopin', I guess. Well, maybe a wet whole-wheat noodle whoopin'. Trouble is, I'd probably eat it.

  9. Well, i posted a comment on the winners, but it does not look like it printed. So, here is the deal.
    We have a tie.
Jer got two questions right, Todd got two questions right.
    1. 1 single donut hole equals 27 grapes. Not a whole donut.
    2. 1 cup of chocolate ice cream equals 3 3/4 cups apples
    3. 1 snickers bar equals 4 1/2 cups carrots.
    4. It takes a 150 lb person 58 minutes hiking to burn off cal. of a brownie.

Todd was closest to two questions and Jer closest to two questions, alas, Jilly, the applesauce did not even place in this contest. You will be watched in the upcoming contests.
good luck to the next contest. A Valentine's day contest.
    Good day, losers.

  12. Do we send our weight in tomorrow, the 15th, of each month? Our house has been enjoying soup the past two days. Kristy made some home made hummas the other day too. I hope everyone has been keeping on track. I am glad you are here to support me. Am I the only male that check's and psots on this blog? We need some more testosterone around here.
