APRIL WEIGH IN, NOT APRIL'S WEIGH IN!!!!

Hi Losers,

No, we are not publishing April's weigh in for all to see. However, I do believe that steamed mouse counts as 2 points on the weight watchers scale. Kudo's to April and Chris's dog, Penny, she's a real dog after all. Keep up those good hunting skills, when they move to Florida, maybe she can hunt gator for them. hoorah!!!!!

Okay, here's the April results, Now, before I get started, two months in a row, and most of us are in a rut, its nice out there, lets get those buns moving. come on guys, and to reward the best mover, they are getting a nice prize, like I said.

Also, food diaries. not the favorite thing to do, and I had a hard time with it too.

This is what I would like to hear from everyone who even tried to keep even a mental list of what they ate. What do you think are your 5 worst or best eating habits. To start out, I will list mine,

On a daily basis, I do not drink enough water. I only drank maybe 2 or 3 glasses of water each day. I am addicted to special K protein bars, I need to substitute them for some fruit or something. i do eat balanced meals, most are prepared in the home and we eat lots of veggies with them and they are good veggies, steamed stuff, that sort of thing, but I do have a weakness for something sweet almost every day. I have to work at that.
Last but not least, I need to drink maybe 1 more glass of milk or have some good dairy product every day. So, I have confessed. Lets see what everyone else has to say. Like I said, it was not a punishment for everyone, just to let you all know that maybe you are not exactly doing what you need to do.

here's our April results. Good job everyone.

Susan, George, Jerri, Jill, Janet, very slight drops, but drops just the same.
Kristy, slightly up, but not much
Jason- 0.5%
Todd- 1.4%
April- 1.54%
and our winner this month weigh in and the winner of the special prize is

Lori- 1.76%

Hoorah to Lori, she will get a special prize in the mail. maybe she will let everyone know what it is. Good job everyone.

This month, our total weight loss was 13,1 pounds, bringing our total weight loss as a group to
143.7 pounds. That is pretty awesome.

I am so proud of everyone. So, lets hear some feed back about the food diaries, or even the work about it. i hope everyone has a nice Easter coming up.
Between burning brush and indoor painting, we have been busy busy, and I am still trying to find that almighty job here. I was told I did not meet the requirements of a cashier, go figure, I only handled hundreds of thousands of dollars daily at the superior court and reconciled daily and monthly with the auditors office every single month. But, what can I say. Guess money in California is different than money in S. Carolina. They must still be working with that confederate garbage here.

Good job losers,

miss you and hope to see less of you real soon.

Susan

  1. Hi all...I'm back from the land of basketball tournaments...geez, I feel like I haven't any time to myself since February. Wait..I haven't :) I keep a food journal anyway so Susan's assignment was not difficult for me. I find that if I write down everything I stuff in my face, I tend to stuff less. I absolutely need to work on adding my fruits and veggies. I don't like fruits and veggies so this is very difficult for me :( I would like to recommend a blog that I have found that has really helped motivate me to eat right. http://www.self.com/fooddiet/blogs/eatlikeme
this blog is written by a registered dietician and she photographs and documents everything she eats. It really gives you some good ideas about how to get your daily requirements in.
I hope you find her as educational as I have.

  2. Susan, you are doing an awesome job with this blog. Keep up the good work. I know it is discouraging when you get non-losers like me participating, but, what the heck. You gotta enjoy my winning personality. ha!

Congrats to Lori this time! Way to go! And thanks for the self.com blog info.

I know exactly what I do wrong in the diet department. I don't follow the rules. But everyone already knows I don't follow the rules, so that is not new news. Probably a motivational tool for me to use would be LOOK IN THE MIRROR. Ack! I would probably lose 10 pounds just from the shock.

Susan,at the risk of making you mad (and I really don't want to do that), why do you keep torturing yourself about a job in that bleepin' place? They obviously don't recognize quality when they see it. I know you didn't ask for my advice, but it's free! What a bargain! Here it is anyway: Quit chasing after those mediocre, low-paying jobs and go sign up for some classes at the local college. Take something you've always wanted to take, something mind expanding, something fun. Anything! Do something for yourself that will feel fulfilling and enjoyable. A dang minimum wage job is not gonna do that for you. Good luck, sweets. I love you. You deserve to be happy and are a better person than those ding dongs who don't know a superior person when they see her.
